Greetings:

I am delighted to welcome you to the website of the Maryland Black Caucus Foundation (MBCF).  The MBCF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, public policy and educational Foundation. We invite you to take the time to fully engage yourself in learning about our mission, vision, and our many program activities. We encourage you to review the website and offer input on issues that may be of interest to you and your community. I urge you to complete the volunteer form and become a part of this journey to empower people. We seek to empower our communities by way of community awareness, workshops, seminars, public forums and scholarship distribution. The Annual Legislative Conference is the Foundation’s prime fundraiser; however, this year, for the first time, the Foundation will host a classic golf tournament.

Our 43 African American state legislators and the Maryland Black Caucus Foundation work in close partnership with a focus in such areas as effective leadership, education, health care, environmental matters, and MBE/economic development. Another major area of interest in our mission is working with youth and nonviolent offenders.

The MBCF programs are possible because of the generous support of our corporate partners, community leaders, and concerned citizens. We pride ourselves on our steadfast commitment to this organization and we thank each of you for your continued support.

Again, our website is our “diamond in the rough,” so please take the time to learn a little about us, who we are, what we do, and our efforts to increase empowerment by educating our citizens to improve the quality of life for all.
